This one-day, interactive course is ideal for optometrists who want to further their expertise in oral and topical therapeutics and learn practical insights into the contemporary management of pre-myopia, cystoid macula oedema, and AMD.The interactive session on oral therapeutics will focus on medications available either over the counter or through co-management with a GP to treat ocular disease.
As myopia reaches epidemic proportions, this presentation will emphasise the importance of diagnosing and managing pre-myopia where indicated. The application of retinal imaging to the assessment and diagnosis of patients with neuro-ophthalmic disorders and AMD will be highlighted. Cystoid macula oedema is routinely diagnosed by primary care clinicians, and this interactive session utilising case study analysis will consider the most appropriate management strategies guided by identification of the condition’s cause.
