Saray Iluminado at Sassoon Yehuda Sephardic Synagogue
Saray Iluminado is an acoustic ensemble performing Bosnian Sephardic and Sevdah songs. They've had sold out concerts at Hobart Syngagogue, Melbourne's fortyfivedownstairs and The Boite, and released a CD.
The ensemble includes Nela Trifkovic (lead vocals, director), Ernie Gruner (violin, mandolin), Kelly Dowall (ney, clarinet, frame drum), William Thompson (oud, lute, vocals).
There will be an initial solo set from Yuval Ashkar (Melbourne's leading oud player/singer).
