2017 Science Colloquium

On behalf of Peter Razos, Head of Science at Trinity Grammar School, Kew we invite all students, parents, staff and alumni to this year's Science Colloquium. The evening includes canapes, drinks and a three course dinner, with guest speakers, Dr Marco Herold and Dr Matthew Belousoff.

Guest Speakers: 

Dr Marco Herold, Molecular Genetics of Cancer Division at the Walter & Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research

Topic: Overview of CRISPR/Cas9 technology and its potential use in the development of ground breaking cancer therapies

Dr Matthew Belousoff, NHRMC fellow in the School of Microbiology at Monash University

Topic: What molecular changes transform a bacteria into a 'superbug' and how we can use this research to conquer antibiotic resistance
