The Champagne Trail

Visit Champagne for the day – no passport required.

A completely new concept of champagne experience, our champagne trail aims to showcase the terroir of the different regions of Champagne with tastings from a selection of grower champagnes and big name houses.

Participants will spend a relaxing afternoon following a trail at their own pace around the picturesque grounds of Spicers Hidden Vale with stations set up at various points representing the four main growing regions of champagne; ‘Montagne de Reims’, ‘Vallee de la Marne’, ‘Cote de Blancs’, and ‘Cote de Bar’. There will also be opportunities to participate in the favourite French pastime boules (Petanque) as well as other interesting activities. A delicious selection of French-inspired food prepared by the Spicer's Team will be available for purchase on the day.

Ticket for the Sunday event includes:

• Three hours of tasting a large selection of champagne

Bus transfers*

We will again be organising return bus transfers from Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ipswich and Toowoomba. There will be an additional early bus for people wishing to attend the Full Day Escape, as well as a mid moring bus for people attending the Long Lunch. Price listed on purchasing page is for a RETURN fare. Only one bus ticket needed per person.

Are you the designated driver? Would you like to soak up the atmosphere, but are unable to drink champagne?

This year we are offering entry only tickets for guests who are unable to take full advantage of the Champagne Trail. With an Entry Only ticket you will still be able to watch the cooking demonstrations, enjoy the live music, visit the markets, purchase food and drink on site and still be part of Australia's biggest Festival dedicated only to champagne.

Chef Ambassador Bruno Loubet, Ash Martin from Hommage and former Masterchef contestant Danielle Dixon will prepare three courses for a long table lunch like no other - washed down with champagne, of course.

A dedicated bus will leave earlier from Brisbane for people wanting to take advantage of the full day ticket.

New this year - Lazy Long Lunch

Extend your day at Effervescence with a Lazy Long Lunch - the Three Chef Truffle Lunch. 

Effervescence have partnered with the Truffle & Wine Co to put together the very special lunch featuring distinguished French chef Bruno Loubet, former Masterchef contestant and chef, Danielle Dixon, and Spicers’ own Ash Martin. Set under the trees, the long lunch, starring the rare and expensive truffle, (‘Tuber Melanosporum’) offers 3 courses, each produced by one of our superstar chefs, with each dish matched, naturally with champagne.

An extra 'mid morning' bus has been added from Brisbane, leaving Roma St at 11am. Details on the booking page.
