Millthorpe Garden Ramble 2018

Millthorpe Garden Ramble 2018

Where a Stroll Never Felt So Good...

Ramble through 10 gardens open in picturesque Millthorpe Village and its surrounds and be inspired! Join us in this 14th year of the Millthorpe Garden Ramble for a fantastic day or weekend whether you are a passionate gardener or just love to explore beautiful spaces and places.

Here is your opportunity to go behind the garden fences and gates and have a peek at what the local gardeners are achieving.  Whether you are looking for landscaping ideas, creating a new garden or love exploring established gardens – there is something for everyone. You will have a chance to see the trees and plants which thrive in this special cool climate area.

Visit a garden with a challenging location where appropriate planting has transformed an exposed windswept area into a contemporary cool climate country garden.  Enjoy an expansive woodland garden underplanted with bluebells and daffodils and one with Italian pine framed views and picturesque outdoor areas.  Fragrant rose gardens, walled fruit and vege patches and cottage gardens in historic village houses all provide inspiration and enjoyment.

A highlight will be the magnificent irises and roses in the 6 hectare garden at ‘Eidola Park’ which will once again be open after much development during the past year ensuring a wonderful experience for both first time and return visitors.  Ramble visitors will be able to buy tall bearded and Californian iris at reduced prices.

To find out more about the gardens open this year download the map and the garden descriptions from the 2018 Millthorpe Garden Ramble brochure.

There will be various garden related stalls in some of the gardens along with special events.

This year we will repeat our Art Trail with an expanded selection of local artists presenting their (and others) works.

To find out more about the Art Trail and special events download the cover page from the 2018 Millthorpe Garden Ramble brochure.

Spend some time in Millthorpe Village with great places to eat, taste wine, shop or just wander around the local tree lined streets.
