Leonard Bernstein was one of the twentieth century’s most acclaimed musicians. His greatest skill was bringing the joy and beauty of music to people in an easily accessible manner. Bernstein shaped the way music was composed. He wrote symphonies, chamber and solo works, as well as the music for West Side Story, On the Waterfront, Peter Pan, On the Town and Candide.
The Chichester Psalms is a work in three movements for choir, orchestra and boy soprano soloist. The work is written and sung in Hebrew and incorporates Psalms from the Bible.
The Concert will feature The Bernstein Choir, comprising the Trinity Junior and Senior Choirs, St Paul’s Cathedral Choir and the Trinity Community Choir. The Bernstein Choir will be accompanied by the Trinity Symphony Orchestra.
