Temperance Hall End of Year Event
On the cusp of Phillip Adams BalletLab’s 20th Anniversary in 2019, we invite you to celebrate with us in anticipation of this milestone occasion.
Having all but completed our second wonderful year in residence at the magnificent Temperance Hall, we invite you to have some delicious wine and food with us and be treated to an exclusive preview performance of new work Glory by Artistic Director, Phillip Adams. Glory features an exceptional cast including Ben Hurley, Olivier Saraviego, Jo White, Rachel Wisby and Samuel Harnett-Welk.
“Glory is a finely engineered collage of intricate choreographic interpretations to Bach’s French dance suites. With pace and complexity, I’m angling a through line of transformative choreography to Bach’s compositions in relationship to conceptual notions of art.” Phillip Adams
As part of this very special event, you’ll also have the chance to mingle with International Artist-in-Residence, Walter Dundervill (New York) who will be at Temperance Hall working on a first stage collaboration with Phillip and an outstanding group of local dance artists, including Michelle Heaven, Rennie McDougall, Caroline Meaden and William McBride.
The evening will also include a performance by our 2018 Resident Artist, Rebecca Jensen.
Date: Wednesday 28 November
Venue: Temperance Hall, 199 Napier St, South Melbourne
Event supported by La Luna Bistro, Yal Yal Estate and Splitrock TIRO.
