Pool Lifeguard Course

Pool Lifeguard Course

Westbourne's Sport and Aquatic Centre are offering a Pool Lifeguard course, in house. This training, provided by Life Saving Victoria, will equip participants with the skills and knowledge to supervise swimming pool users. This course focuses on pool surveillance, scanning techniques, rescue skills, oxygen resuscitation and emergency care. This course is a necessity for any person wishing to achieve employment as a Lifeguard at Westbourne.

 

COURSE INFORMATION

Participants must be 16 years or older

Attendence is required for the duration of both days

Prior to the course, online learning must be completed. Access to these modules will be provided to participants after they have enrolled

A reasonable level of fitness is required to successfully complete this course

In-water components are included on both days of the course, please come prepared

A current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid is required for the successful completion of the Pool Lifeguard award

Employment at the Sport and Aquatic Centre is subject to formal interview processes post course completion

Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required. Details on how to create this will be email on enrollment

Day 1: Saturday 9th Feburary, 2019  9.00am - 4.00pm
Day 2: Sunday 10th Feburary, 2019   9.00am - 4.00pm
