Deconstructing A Classical Construct: A Masterclass

This special event with Master Teachers Dr Margaret Schindler and Geoffrey Ashenden will enable you to observe these two distinguished teachers in both masterclass and discussion forums. This event is a rare opportunity to gain an insight into the teaching approaches of two master teachers as they work with Classical Voice students of varying ages. They will provide instruction in a masterclass setting and then discuss the pedagogical ideas that informed their work with the students to enable the most efficient vocal production within the classical vocal style.
From this event, you will develop a deeper understanding of:
• How to diagnose vocal faults
• The importance of breathing and support
• The importance of postural considerations
• The role of primal sound in connecting to a classical sound and setup
• Stylistic considerations within the classical genre
• Registration requirements for classical voice production
• The role of the articulators in assisting or inhibiting sound production
