Walk in the bold footsteps of our German pioneer women as they made the regular 35km trek from home in Hahndorf to market in Adelaide. Take in the spectacular Adelaide Hills scenery as you wind your way to Beaumont House for our annual Heritage Harvest festival.

An unforgettable challenge and fitting tribute to the women who helped build South Australia.

UPDATED Event Start Times and Locations:

The full walk starts from 7am from The Academy; 68 Main Street, Hahndorf and ends at Beaumont House (631 Glynburn Road, Beaumont); however, you can choose to join the event at any of the starting points located at Bridgewater, Stirling and Eagle on the Hill:

Start locations:

Hahndorf start, from 7 am - 8.30 am (26 km walk): from Hahndorf Institute, 59 Main Street Hahndorf

Bridgewater start, 8.30 am - 9.30 am (19 km walk): from Bridgewater Lions Park, Corner of Mount Barker and Bridgewater Road

Stirling start, 10.00 am -  11.00 am (12 km walk): from Stirling Steamroller Park, corner of Mount Barker Road and Avenue Road

Eagle on the Hill start, 10.00 am - 11.00 am (6 km walk): from the start of The Old Bullock Track

Buses serve all starting points and there is a return bus to Hahndorf departing Beaumont House at 3.00pm.

 

Registration and start times:

Bus transfers to starts – all depart from Beaumont House (631 Glynburn Road, Beaumont)

We are no longer able to make changes to any registrations. 

Registration and transfer to Hahndorf start: 7am – 8am. Buses departing from 7:00am

Registration and transfer to Bridgewater start: 8.15am – 8.30am. Bus departing at 8.30am

Registration and transfer to Stirling Start: 9.45am – 10am. Bus departing at 10am

Registration and transfer to Eagle on the Hill start: 9.45 – 10am. Bus departing at 10am.

    Registration open and rolling start: 7am- 8.30am
  • Bridgewater start (19km); Bridgewater Lions Park, corner of Mount Barker and Bridgewater Road
    Registration and rolling start: 8:30am – 9.30am
  • Stirling start (12km); Steamroller Park, corner of Mount Barker Road and Avenue Road
    Registration and rolling start: 10am – 11am
     
  • Eagle on the Hill start (6km); start of The Old Bullock Track, Gate 14, Cleland Conservation Park (Mt Barker Road)
    Registration and rolling start: 10am – 11am

Parking

We cannot guarantee any parking on the day and encourage arranging drop off and pick up if possible.

Beaumont House: Street Parking only

Hahndorf: Carl Nitschke Park (Adelaide end of Main St), Auricht Rd, Windsor Avenue, Hahndorf Oval (900m along Echunga Rd)

Bridgewater: Street Parking, Bridgewater Oval

Stirling: Street Parking only

Eagle on the Hill: Measdays Lookout
