MBSR is an 8-week educational program that builds resilience, self-care and the ability to increase well-being. This course has a 30-year evidence base and is the course that most of the mindfulness research refers to.
In MBSR you learn formal (meditation based) and informal (daily life) mindfulness practices & these are linked to current psychological and scientific understandings of the brain and behaviour. MBSR can be helpful with psychological symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression and physical experiences such as pain, headaches, and IBS. MBSR can help with concentration, emotional regulation and with simply feeling more vital and present in the moment.
The next course runs in Marrickville over 8 Tuesday evenings
