Presented as part of Brisbane Festival.

Saddle up for Cowboy, an interactive, solo contemporary dance work by Michael Smith of Gold Coast-based dance and theatre collective, The Farm. Set in an imagined sweeping landscape of a classic old western and featuring a mesmerising original score composed by Ben Ely (Regurgitator).

From surfing trains to taming horses to wandering the desert, this work unpacks your ability to have a complete, genuine, and meaningful experience as an imagined self.

DURATION

Approximately 45 minutes. No interval. 

WARNINGS

This is a promenade and interactive performance, meaning you will be standing onstage with the performer. You may be asked to move around the stage throughout the performance. This performance may contain smoke effects and strobe lighting. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes. This promenade performance is suitable for wheelchair users or audiences with other mobility impairments; please contact Metro Arts on 07 3002 7100 if you would like to hear more. Seating can be provided, as required.

Suitable for ages 15+. Please note - a strict lockout period applies; it may not be possible to admit you after the performance has begun.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTE

Metro Arts' New Benner Theatre is wheelchair accessible. Tickets for patrons in a wheelchair and Companion Card holders are not available online.
