‘Membra Jesu Nostri’ by Dieterich Buxtehude
Dieterich Buxtehude was regarded as one of the most important composers of the Baroque era, so much so that the young JS Bach once walked 400km to hear his music performed. ‘Membra Jesu Nostri’ is a series of 6 meditations on "The most holy limbs of our suffering Jesus" and is one of the most sublime Lenten pieces of the Baroque era. The magnificent St John’s Choral Scholars are joined by Genesis Baroque - some of the finest musicians in Australia.
