Birrarung/Yarra River planting event

*Please note that the working bee scheduled for Saturday 29 May will be postponed due to COVID-19 lockdown*
Connect with nature, get your hands dirty and meet your neighbours at our monthly Yarra River biodiversity events. Each month join local experts and council staff to learn about this little patch of the Yarra, the plants and wildlife that call the area home and how to protect and restore habitat.
In May we'll be getting our hands dirty planting a few hundred indigenous plants at the site including grasses, flowering plants and even some larger trees. Learn how to plant these species to give them the best chance at surviving and how we'll care for them over the coming months.
Bring a hat, closed toe shoes, sunscreen and water. This will be a COVID safe event. Hand sanitiser will be provided and all attendees will sign in for contact tracing.
