SUE HIBBERT WATERCOLOUR MASTERCLASS, PLEIN AIR DOWN UNDER
As a feature artist at Plein Air Down Under 2021, Sue will conduct a two-day plein air Watercolour Masterclass for artists painting during the festival weekend of 25 - 27 September.
"I have always enjoyed the challenges of painting outdoors, observing the changing light and shadows, capturing those fleeting moments. En plein air painting sharpens my observation and forces me to make a mark without over thinking".
Sue is a multi-award winning watercolour artist from Perth.
Published both internationally and nationally, Sue’s practice has been featured in six solo exhibitions in the last decade and 30 select and curated group shows across Australia and in Italy.
In addition to her own practice, she is a passionate and sought-after educator, facilitating teaching in watercolour and plein air methods and concepts. Sue has taught classes for over 20 years as well as two dozen art-tour workshops or guest demonstrator talks both overseas and in Western Australia.
Students with some experience in watercolour will get the most out of this workshop, but if you have been painting for years and feel your work needs a new direction, you will also love it!
