Mental Health: a motivational and cognitive perspective
At our next ECU Lecture Series event, Associate Professor Joanne Dickson will discuss her research and the contribution that motivational and cognitive psychological processes have in mental health.
One in four Australians will experience a serious mental health challenge in their lifetime. The COVID-19 pandemic has seen an escalation in mental health problems nationally and globally. New approaches are needed to effectively tackle the increasing prevalence of mental health challenges and promote wellbeing in the community.
Research shows that the interplay between personal motivation and thinking processes have increasing implications for mental health.
Event open to the public.
