The Foundation will welcome award-winning journalist, author and commentator Madonna King to present the final Futureproofing Our Girls lecture.
Date: Thursday 25 November
Time: 5:45pm for a 6:00pm start
Location: Honour Room, Foundation Building
Guest Speaker: Madonna King
Topic: ‘Fathers and Daughters’
Madonna interviewed over five-hundred girls and many fathers, as well as leading psychologists, school principals, CEOs, police, guidance counsellors and neuroscientists, to tackle the complicated father/daughter relationship.
Exploring a father's role in his daughter's life from a daughter's perspective as well as the father's, Madonna will examine key issues to help families navigate difficult moments.
What do our girls think about their fathers? And what are fathers struggling with when it comes to their relationship with their daughters?
Why daughters turn against their fathers, teen rebellion, discipline, sexual education, the impact of broken families, how much influence a father can/should have and what you can do to repair a broken relationship?
We hope this evening will provide insights for our fathers that will be invaluable for every parent.
A livestream option will be available for boarding parents.
Post event: Drinks & Canapés served on the Honour Room verandah where parents can 'debrief' with speakers & staff.
Parking will be available at the School, more details will be posted closer to the date of the function.
