Thank you to Lucy and Penny Adeney for donating the use of their venue for this workshop.

Guest tutors: Sachie Yuki (QLD) and Moirsheen Kelly-Keesing (Vic)

Sachie will present on Zoom to the students at Villa Musica.
Moirsheen will present in person (subject to COVID restrictions).
In the event that we are not able to hold this event in person due to COVID restrictions and/or venue density limits, it will revert to a fully online workshop and participants will be sent zoom links for their classes.
Timetable and Focus Pieces
The timetable for each book level is listed below. Classes are 45 minutes in length. The focus piece for each class is listed but classes will include other repertoire (from earlier books) that helps develop skills and techniques for the focus piece.
Book 5
1.30 - 2.15pm Veracini Gigue class with Moirsheen
2.30 - 3.15pm Vivaldi G minor class with Sachie
Book 6
2.30 - 3.15pm Vivaldi G minor class with Sachie
3.30 - 4.15pm La Folia class with Moirsheen
Book 7
2.30 - 3.15pm Mozart Minuet and Bach A Minor, 1st mvt class with Moirsheen
3.30 - 4.15pm La Folia class with Moirsheen
Book 8
2.30 - 3.15pm Mozart Minuet and Bach A Minor, 1st mvt class with Moirsheen
3.30 - 4.15pm Eccles Sonata, 1st & 2nd mvts and Veracini 2nd mvt class with Sachie
Book 9/10/10+
3.30 - 4.15pm Eccles Sonata, 1st & 2nd mvts and Veracini 2nd mvt class with Sachie
4.30 - 5.15pm Special Study Piece - Vitali Chaconne, first 95 bars with Sachie. Bowings etc will be provided after enrolment.
Please note that
  • parents will not be permitted into Villa Musica due to density limits.
  • any student or teacher who has symptoms of COVID, or who has a family member with symptoms of COVID will not be able to participate in person and will need to complete the workshop online.
Teachers may enrol to observe classes on Zoom (due to density limits) OR to participate in classes with students (and a book level program must be nominated for this). If there are too many enrolments to meet density requirements, teacher participant enrolments will be cancelled.
This event is open to 2021 financial family/country family or teacher members of Suzuki Music only. Students must be learning with a current Suzuki violin teacher to participate.
Closing date for enrolments: On time enrolments will be accepted until Friday 6 August, 2021. Late enrolments (including a late enrolment fee) will be accepted until midday on 16 August, space permitting.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received by email, prior to midnight on Friday 6 August 2021, will be provided with a 50% credit towards a future event with Suzuki Music. Cancellations received from 7 August will not be entitled to any refund nor credit. In the case of a significant family disruption (including illness or injury) that prevents the participant from attending any part of their enrolled sessions in person or on Zoom, may submit a letter with evidence of the disruption to the Suzuki Music Council for discussion in regards to a partial credit.
Membership fees are non refundable. If you pay for a membership subscription (new or renewing) for this event and then withdraw, your membership fees are not able to be refunded.
