Once a year our Church spends a weekend together, to better get to know each other, and to dig into a big topic from the Bible to better get to know our God. We’ve been doing this since Salt started and it’s always a great time.
Lockdown: With Covid-19 unsettling plans we’re not going far to ‘go away’ – just to the Surf Leisure Resort in Towradgi (where we went last year, for those who could make it). It’s obviously unclear whether the Greater Sydney lockdown will continue into October. We’ve decided to plan as if Salt Away can go ahead though – realistic but hopeful restrictions will ease by October – and will follow any Covid-19 restrictions that are in place in October to keep us all safe.
Topic: This year we’re looking at God’s massive plan: it spans from before creation to the end of the world, from earth to spiritual realms, from death-in-sin to life forever, from Jews to all nations, from the weakness of the cross to resurrection power, from sinful rebellion to all of everything under Jesus’ feet – God has a certain, perfect and massive plan. You and I and Salt Church fit into that plan. How? That’s what Salt Away 2021 is all about.
Date: October 9th – 10th
Time: Sessions & Lunch 9am-1pm (Sat & Sun) + Games / Sports / Kids’ Movie & Trivia (Sat Arvo & Night)
Venue: Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort (Towradgi)
Kids: There will also be a kids program running simultaneously with the sessions.
Rego Now: If lockdown has lifted, we’ll all really want to see each other and be together as a church for the weekend at Salt Away. So we’d love you to rego now – in spite of the uncertainty – and commit to come along. If we need to cancel Salt Away due to restrictions you will get a full refund, so there’s no damage done if you rego and then it can’t go ahead.
Early Bird pricing for the weekend is $50 for individual adults, with family, child, and student discounts available. If you can only make one of the days, we have a single day option also!
Payment options include Credit Card, GPay, and Paypal (+ 0.5% fee). You can now also opt for paying in instalments via Paypal's 'Pay it Later' option. Please contact us if electronic payment isn't an option for you.
NOTE: there is no accommodation required / included when booking for 'Salt Away 2021'
