Year 11 & Year 12 Summer Workshops
UWA School of Design invites students who are completing Year 11 & 12 in 2021 to attend one of our summer workshops in Architecture or Landscape Architecture.
Architecture is the conceptualisation and design of buildings and built forms in response to social, environmental, economic and technological contexts, needs and objectives; and Landscape architecture is the planning, design and management of our natural and built landscapes for the benefit of communities and the future health of the planet.
These three-day workshops will give secondary school students an insight into the study of Architecture or Landscape Architecture, and an introduction to our teachers and practitioners who can provide advice about courses and careers in the built environment. Workshops will introduce participants to typical student projects, methods and skills. Most helpfully, participants will meet and interact with current students and staff in the Architecture and Landscape Architecture programs at UWA and have access to the spaces and equipment on campus.
Bookings can be made for one of the below workshops (1, 2 or 3), at a cost of $100 per student.
Choose from one of the three Workshops:
- Workshop 1: ‘The life of an Architecture student’ 24 – 27 January (Monday 24, Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27) 9.30am – 2.00pm (Note: no workshop on Australia Day, Wednesday 26 January)
- Workshop 2: ‘The life of an Architecture student’ 1 – 3 February (Tuesday 1, Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3) 9.30am – 2.00pm
