Nannup Keynotes and Nannup Music Club Inc present:
NANNUP INSTACHOIR 2022
Join in the fun singing with others! All levels welcome. Enjoy singing melodies and harmonies with people who just love to sing! Ukulele players will also have an opportunity to learn to play the repertoire. The singing workshops will include sectional leaders from the Bunbury Anchormen who will assist participants to sing in parts. Song books will be provided with scores, lyrics and ukulele tabs.
Presented by Teresa Hughes, Albany-based singer, choir director and leader of the Lelebirds ukulele group.
Teresa has worked as a musician, choral director and as a teacher of voice, guitar and ukulele. She completed a postgraduate Diploma in Education in 2007 and has taught instrumental music in schools at both primary and secondary level.
In 1996 Teresa founded the Safety in Numbers Choir which ran for 20 years. Since then Teresa has formed two new choirs, the Trillseekers and Bird on a Wire and also runs choirs and workshops for people with dementia.
Her singing workshops cover vocal technique, vocal health as well as harmony and part-singing.
Teresa has a strong commitment to making singing an accessible and vital part of community life, encouraging people to experience the joy of singing with others.
