Wallaby Creek Festival is a 3 day celebration of music and the arts, at Wallaby Creek at Wallaby Creek Bridge, 720 Shipton's Flat Road Rossville, surrounded by the beautiful wet tropics rainforest of the far north. The festival has been held in the middle week of the September school holidays each year at Rossville just south of Cooktown. 2023 will be our 21st festival!.
The three day program offers music on 2 main stages, and on the third stage, a jam/chalkboard stage, with something for everyone. Poets Breakfast and a packed workshops schedule, Circus, Dance, Roving street theatre, a complete Children's Festival, delicious food stalls, healing spaces & market stalls and croc free swimming in the Wallaby Creek and the Annan River, complement the entertainment. Camping is included in the three day festival ticket with bush showers and toilets.
Wallaby Creek Festival is a wonderful family-focused event.
Wallaby Creek Festival acknowledges the Traditional Owners of this Country and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to Elders past, present and emerging.
