Speak to Self, Speak to Others: October Anti-Racism Workshop
Join a group of Moreland residents and/or workers who are prepared to listen deeply and engage in thoughtful conversations with an open heart to reflect on and understand their own cultural and racial identity as well as the dominant mainstream culture, in order to inspire and inform transformational personal and systemic anti-racism action.
This workshop is the final workshop in a series of six workshops which have been developed and informed by local Aboriginal voice and share a range of Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes community voices while also creating a space for non-Aboriginal people to reflect on their identity, power differentials and approach to the work of reconciliation and anti-racism.
Please note there is some (brief) pre-workshop reading/viewing (article and/or short video clips) prior to each workshop.
Workshop Theme: Philosophy into Action
Learn how to move from anti-racism analysis to personal and systemic action, and understand the complex journey of sustained and effective anti-racism action.
