Stabat mater - Pergolesi and Dohnanyi
About
Some of the most beautiful and heartfelt music ever written. Pergolesi Stabat mater written in 1736 was the last composition of the young composer, admired by Bach and Handel and performed constantly until today. The Hungarian composer Dohnanyi wrote a Stabat mater in 1952/53 with new colours and profound beauty, in 2 choirs of 3 parts and with a solo ensemble of three singers. Supporting works will be Ave verum corpus - Mozart, Crucufixus by Lotti and Ave Maria by Biebl. A memorable concert.Location
