Fire management is increasingly used to reduce wildfire risk and conserve biodiversity worldwide. Dr Holly Sitters of the University Melbourne will present the diverse responses of birds, reptiles and mammals to fire, fire management strategies currently used to conserve Victoria’s wildlife, and exciting new approaches that may help animal populations to persist under changing climates.
