Presents
SING A SONG OF SIXPENCE
Friday 12th August 2022
Doors: 7pm
Showtime: 8pm
Delsinki presents 'Sing a Song of Sixpence', which hits the Macedon Railway Hotel stage Friday 12th August!
Songs are magical things: some fall suddenly from the ether, others are slow labours of love. All songwriters say it. Everyone has heard it. Universally, they're inspired by personal experiences and observations of life and human nature. Sometimes their meaning remains - or, over time, becomes - a mystery.
An age-old tradition - perhaps most famously rendered these days at
Nashville's iconic Bluebird Cafe - a writers' round presents a number of songwriters together on stage, taking turns. In an intimate and informal
setting, they also interact, teasing more insight from each other. 'Sing a Song of Sixpence' adds a unique instrumentalist or two to the proceedings, to help tease out more insight and to shine new lights and nuance onto the songs.
A poignant and unpredictable experience, it enables artists to learn more about each other - and themselves - while giving the audience rare insight and access into the creative processes.
