CHARM OF FINCHES
Melbourne sister duo Charm of Finches (aka Mabel and Ivy Windred-Wornes) makes haunted tunes about love, grief and whispering trees; indie folk awash with seamless blood harmonies traversing melancholy and wonder in equal measure.
Their recent accolades include the 2021 Music Victoria Best Folk Act, 2021 Australian Folk Music Awards Youth Act of the Year and nominations for the 2020 & 2021 Australian Music Prize.
The duo released their third full length album WONDERFUL OBLIVION in October 2021 through New York-based label AntiFragile Music to critical acclaim and have very recently returned from a four-month tour of the UK and Europe.
“Wonderful Oblivion is a moving work, dressing up the shared experiences of the everyday with music that tugs at the heart and stirs the imagination.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Australian
“their music is gossamer and extremely delicate ”
CODA CHROMA
Coda Chroma (aka Kate Lucas) is an award-winning songwriter from Ballarat, Australia, described in Tone Deaf magazine as one of the most innovative and noteworthy musicians in Australia in 2021.
Coda Chroma creates music that sways between cinematic and baroque pop, with otherworldly harmonies, honest and existential lyrics, suspended in deeply nuanced production.
Reviewing Coda Chroma’s 2019 album
Inside the Still Life, Bernard Zuel writes “immersion is the best – the only sensible – approach for complete satisfaction. And for proper understanding.”
Coda Chroma has toured and performed alongside some of Australia’s best songwriters such as Liz Stringer, Ben Salter, William Crighton, Ainslie Wills and Husky, and played some Australia’s most beloved festivals including Woodford Folk Festival and Dashville’s Gum Ball festival.
“For pure fragile beauty, night one belonged to Coda Chroma, the alias of Ballarat indie-pop artist Kate Lucas. Coda Chroma produces lush music made for submersion. Certainly, many at Gum Ball fell deeply.” (Newcastle Herald, 2021)
Coda Chroma is set to release her third studio album in 2022 and will once again hit the National touring and festival circuit in 2023 with her visceral and immersive live show.
