This will be a classic drive on some spectacular driving roads. The scenery is awesome and the traffic is minimal.
We will leave the Richmond Information Centre ( near the RAAF base ) at 8:00am sharp, please arrive around 7:30am. Should you not wish to go to Richmond we can make arrangements to meet on the Great Western Highway.
From there we head toward Penrith , cross the Hawkesbury River and climb up escarpment to Great Western Highway, on to Hartley and head toward Oberon. Here we will have a coffee/comfort break. Then it’s on to the infamous Shooters Hill Road and continue on through Taralga to Goulburn.
We will have lunch at the historic Paragon Café in Goulburn. From there it’s your choice to return by Hume Highway or if you have not had enough of back roads you are free to return the way we came.
There will be good photo opportunities on the day. If you are the person who enjoys letting your horse run free in the mountains this drive is for you.
If you are keen on joining us then please register and the full details of the drive will be sent to you directly. Ensure you include your email address and mobile number so we can contact you with any updates should that be necessary.
Don’t worry if you can’t make this drive, there’ll be another one just around the corner, so stay tuned. However, if you are keen to come along please register now and confirm your place as this event is expected to fill quickly.
