SECTIONS
(A) 10 years and under solo section (up to 3 Minutes)
(B) 11 years and under solo section (up to 4 Minutes)
(C) 12 years and under solo section (up to 5 Minutes)
(D) 13 years and under solo section (up to 5 Minutes)
(E) 14 years and under solo section (up to 5 Minutes)
(F) 16 years and under solo section (up to 7 Minutes)
(G) 18 years and under solo section (up to 12 Minutes)
(H) Open solo section (up to 15 minutes)
(I) Orchestral Excerpts section
(J) 14 years and under flute ensemble (up to 5 Minutes)
(K) 15 years and over flute ensemble (up to 7 Minutes)

*Must be the Age or under as of the 1st May 2021
*Excerpts for Orchestral Excerpts section will sent Saturday 24th April 2021
*Entry fee includes allocated competition accompanist to your metronome specifications.
*Use of alternate accompanist at your own expense.
*A copy of the parts and score for each piece is required to be emailed by Friday 23rd April 2021 for the adjudicators and accompanist.
*You must perform from an original copy of your performance repertoire.
*Rehearsals with the your accompanist are highly recommended, and must be arranged independently and will be in addition to your registration fee.

Must be registered by 11:59pm Friday 23rd April 2021

REQUIREMENTS
To perform 2 contrasting pieces by different composers within the time limit.
Entrants wishing to perform as a duet, trio etc should enter as an ensemble.

For the (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) sections:
* Piece 1) solo flute piece or study from a list A work out of any of the Series 3 AMEB exam books.
* Piece 2) solo flute and piano piece. Either a single movement or full piece as long as it fits within the time limit.

For the (F), (G) and (H) sections:
* Piece 1) solo flute piece or study composed without any piano accompaniment.
* Piece 2) solo flute and piano piece. Either a single movement or full piece as long as it fits within the time limit.

For the (I) section
* Excerpts will be emailed on Saturday 24th April 2021

For the (J) and (K) sections
* To perform 2 flute only contrasting pieces by different composers (no other instrumental accompaniment) within the time limit.
* More than one player per part is allowed.

Friday 23rd April 2021: Entries close and accompaniment parts must be sent through

Saturday 24th April 2021: Excerpts sent for Orchestral Excerpts section

Tuesday 27th April 2021: Program with schedule sent out.
