TERMS AND CONDITIONS / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE SCONE GRAMMAR SCHOOL FETE?
Sunday 8th May 2022
Market Precinct - Hill St
9.00am - 4.00pm – Market Stalls
11.00pm – 4.00pm – Main Fete
SGS Fete is a much-loved family friendly community
event, managed by the SGS P & F Committee.
The event will include over 50 Market stalls, kids
amusements, entertainment, live music and
performances and food stalls.

WHAT PRODUCTS CAN BE SOLD AT THE MARKETS?
The types of products you can sell at the SGS Fete
includes:
Fashion
Art & Craft
Photography
Homewares
Stationary
Children’s Clothing & Accessories
Condiments and pre-packaged food.
NO FAST FOOD under any circumstances.

STALL SITES ARE OPEN AIR SITE/NO COVER
SGS Fete is an open-air market. The road will be closed to traffic for the duration of the
Fete.
STALLHOLDERS must provide their own Marquee or
Umbrella or cover. All structures are required to be secured
and only weights are allowed.
Stall fees:
3m x 3m Site – Single Site $100.00

DO I NEED PUBLIC LIABILITY?
PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE is COMPULSORY for all
stallholders.
Public Liability insurance covers injury to the public, or
damage to site due to stallholders own negligence.

PARKING & ACCESS
SGS Markets are open from 9am to 4:00pm, with bump in
times commencing from approx 6.00am to 8.30am.
Remember to bring trolleys and people to assist you
moving if you have big items to move.
There will be STALL ALLOCATORS dressed in Hi Vis
vests with clipboards. Approach them and they will
direct you to your site.

HOW WILL THIS EVENT BE ADVERTISED?
We will be advertising the SGS Fete using the
following mediums:
FETE BANNER
- Placed in high traffic area around Scone for
maximum exposure.
SOCIAL MEDIA
- Facebook https://www.facebook.com/SGSFete/

CAN I CANCEL A STALL?
Cancellation of bookings 2 weeks prior to the Fete will
result in forfeiture of booking fee, or in extenuating
circumstances at the discretion of the Committee.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING AS A STALLHOLDER?
As a general indication, you will need:
Your stock
Marquee
Sand bags, weights or bricks
Trestle Tables
A table cover / cloth
Display, signage and promotional materials
Change / float to suit your product pricing
Chairs
Paper/environmentally friendly bags
Mirrors or makeshift fitting rooms
Clothing racks, coat hangers
Rubbish Bags – all rubbish is to be removed from your site
at the end of the event.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
SGS Fete may be cancelled in the event of extreme
weather. The Stallholder Coordinator in consultation
with the Fete Coordinator will determine if the event will
operate in safe manner and take the necessary
precautions that may be required.
In all cases the Fete Coordinator will be responsible for
the final decision to run or cancel the event or various
aspects. The safety of participants, officials and the
general public will be paramount in the final decision.

1. Stallholders are responsible for their own stall and
man it at all times. Theft is not the responsibility of
the Stallholder Coordinator or the SGS P & F.

2. Stallholders are responsible for the setting up and
packing down of their site.

3. Stallholders are also responsible for ensuring any rubbish
is cleared from their site and broken mirrors, racks are
taken away.

4. Stallholders may not swap stall locations or set up
outside their designated site area.

5. Stalls must be set up by 9am or the stall will be reallocated.

6. Stallholders must contact the Stallholder
Coordinator by 8am if you are running late.

7. All stallholders must aspire to a quality
presentation of products and stall layout.
