Warrandyte Mechanics Institute (WMI) and Warrandyte Arts Association (WAA) which formed in 1955, were officially amalgamated at a public meeting in 1985 and incorporated as WMI&AAInc in April 1986 with two primary aims:

* To promote artistic expression in all its forms in the community
* To maintain the Mechanics Institute Hall in Yarra St, Warrandyte, for the benefit and use of the community.

If you sign up as a member, it is assumed that you support the goals of the Association, and agree to its rules (these may be viewed in detail on http://warrandytehallarts.asn.au/rules).
