Overview of Working with Data Collection

TryBooking will streamline your pages for collecting RSVP's, custom data and payment all in the one process. Your custom questions can then be exported when required.

Each event can have it's own custom data, requesting information relating to a specific booking, data on each ticket holder or to a specific ticket type. Setting up templates will speed up your setting up and will provide consistency between events.

If your form is long or there are distinct areas within your form or if the field needs more explanation around it, consider adding headers to your form, breaking it up visually for your end user. Ticket holder information can also flow onto a custom ticket for ease of checking door / attendee lists of when picking up merchandise.

Data collection is added to an event via Manage Events, select that event and Data Collection.

For more information, watch this video on Introduction to Data Collection - the first of a 4-part video series on Data Collection.

You can watch the full series here.

TIP:  Add your data collection fields in the order you wish to see them displayed in. Do write down your questions first to ensure you haven't missed any and check that they are in the order you wish them to appear in. If you do happen to get it wrong on final review, it's easy to change the sort order.
