Windwhistle Wander is a garden open day taking place on the 14th of November - Canterbury Show weekend. One hours drive West of Christchurch, at Windwhistle, there are two iconic country gardens to view and wander. Meander along the many pathways in the large gardens featuring flowers in abundance, cottage style areas, NZ native areas, rock gardens made with glacial moraine rocks, topiaries, a gallery and a studio and a few stalls for buying gifts, vegetable gardens, whimsical artistic installations, mature trees of many kinds, history and stories - something for everyone.
