Join us for the rescheduled Wellington Coach Roadshow, now delivered as a hybrid professional development event.
This fast-paced one-day PD workshop will bring together leading voices from across the coaching community, with Wayne Goldsmith from Swimming New Zealand and Gary Toner from SWIM Coaches & Teachers Australia joining online, and Tracey Breuer from SWIM Coaches & Teachers New Zealand supporting Horst Meihe with the in-person delivery in Wellington.
Delegates can choose to attend in person at the Mercure Wellington Abel Tasman or join the session online. The revised program will continue to provide practical coaching insights, discussion and professional development designed to support coaches at all levels.

BIO
Gary Toner: Gary Toner is the Executive Officer of SWIM Coaches and Teachers Australia and a Gold Level Coach with 46 years of coaching and teaching experience. He was a coach on the Australian National Team from 1990 to 2000, working with swimmers across events from 50m freestyle through to open water. Gary also spent 16 years coaching in the United States across USS, high school and summer league programs. In 2020, he was inducted into the Australian Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, where he now serves as Chair. He is also a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
Horst Meihe: is a highly respected New Zealand swim coach, educator and leader with extensive experience across learn-to-swim, club development and performance coaching. Based in Auckland, Horst has played a significant role in the growth of Swimgym and Howick Pakuranga Swim Club, helping develop strong pathways from foundational swimming through to competitive programs. A Gold Swimming New Zealand Coach, Horst has also contributed to coach education, water safety and industry leadership across New Zealand. He is the current Head Coach for the Cook Islands National Team, and President of SWIM Coaches & Teachers New Zealand and continues to be recognised for his commitment to developing swimmers, coaches and aquatic communities.
Wayne Goldsmith: is an Australian sports coaching consultant, author and educator who specialises in coach education, mentoring and leadership development. He has worked with many elite level and professional athletes, coaches and teams across a variety of sports, including swimming, rugby, rugby league, AFL, water polo and triathlon. He has authored several books and written over 500 articles on swimming, coaching, leadership, athlete development, team building and sports performance. Goldsmith is regarded as one of the industry's leading experts in the field of sports coaching and performance and was recognised for his contribution to the sport of swimming by the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2022.
