Homeschool Ball 2026
About
AttendanceThis event is exclusively for students who are actively part of the homeschool community, whether learning independently or through Te Kura. Our ball is not open to Te Kura students unless they are part of the homeschool community.
Students aged 13 - 19 years can attend, no exceptions. Students aged 16 + may bring a date, but will need to purchase a ticket for them.
Tickets
To confirm eligibility each student will need to provide their homeschool exemption number when purchasing a ticket. This is the reference number shown at the bottom of your Ministry of Education exemption certificate. NSN numbers will not be excepted. If the number cannot be verified, your ticket will be cancelled within 48 hours, and you’ll receive an email notification from TryBooking. We won’t be sending separate messages about cancellations.

Catering
Please bring a plate of finger food to share. Drinks will be provided.
Dress Code
The dress code for the ball is formal. Ball dress / Dress pants with a collared shirt and tie or bow tie.
Attendees not meeting the dress code will be asked to make adjustments or may experience a delay in entry.
No jeans, hoodies, bare feet, shorts, t-shirts, caps or mid/miniskirts. Sneakers admissible with prior approval. Email for details.
Entry and Security
Our welcome team will be doing bag checks upon entry. Only clear water bottles are permitted.
Students will need to bring either printed or digital tickets to be scanned. No admission without a ticket.
Behaviour Expectations
Respectful behaviour is required at all times. Offensive language, aggressive behaviour, or deliberate rule-breaking will result in removal from the venue, and parents/guardians will be contacted.
This is a vape-free, alcohol-free and drug-free event. Any attendee found in possession or under the influence of prohibited substances will be removed immediately.
Drop off and pickup
As the venue is located on a cul-de-sac, we will provide details closer to the event regarding arrival and pick up instructions.
Photography
We will have official photographers capturing the evening.
Refunds and Cancellations
Tickets are refundable up to 72 hours prior to the event, except in the event of organiser cancellation.
If the event is cancelled, a full refund (minus any TryBooking fees) will be issued to the purchaser.
