About
Raglan Theatre Academy present their end of year production....Beauty and the Beast. Our adaptation draws inspiration from the many versions of this tale, first written down by French author Gabrielle Villaneuve in 1740.
SYNOPSIS: After her father loses his fortune, Beauty (Belle) and her family are forced to leave Paris and begin a new life in a provincial French village.....Beyond an ancient forest stands a cursed castle, home to a once-noble prince condemned to live as a Beast.
Supported by an expansive cast of enchanted beings and townsfolk alike, this timeless tale of courage, compassion and transformation reminds us that true beauty is found not in how we look, but in the choices that we make.
