Someone Who'll Watch Over Me - TheatreWorks Birkenhead
About
"Someone Who'll Watch Over Me" is a dramatisation by Frank McGuinness of the true story of Westerners held hostage in Lebanon in the late 1980s.This haunting, heartbreaking and funny work tells the beautiful and sad story of an American, an Englishman and an Irishman trapped in a Middle Eastern prison cell together, which may sound like the beginning of some kind of joke.
Frank McGuinness explores the daily crisis endured by these hostages whose strength comes from communication, both subtle and mundane, from humour, wit and faith.
A Community Theatre production by special arrangement with Samuel French and New Zealand Play Bureau Ltd.
