Wellington Pride Festival Present - Pride (2014)

About
Our film fundraisers continue with Pride (2014), a story of grassroots activism and solidarity. Based on a true story, it depicts a group queer activists who raised funds for families affected by the British miners' strike in 1984.In line with the film’s themes of stronger together, we are hosted by Two/FiftySeven, a venue creating inclusive, community-focused impact by making space accessible and bringing people together.
Make an afternoon of it! There'll be intermission, with free cups of tea and home baking for sale, plus a "Bread and Roses” singalong. Can it get any more wholesome?
The movie's rated M, so while it's recommended for mature audiences aged 16 and over, anyone may join us. The rating is due to language, sexual references and some drug use.
Tickets: $15 waged, $10 unwaged.
