About
Classes are held over one weekend from 10am till 4pm both days, and we run them in our building at 17 Green Street, Mosgiel.We are delighted to be able to offer these classes to you free of charge thanks to the support of the Lottery Otago/Southland Community Committee and the fundraising efforts of our committee and volunteers.
We take a maximum of 12 pregnant people in each class and they bring their partner or a support person along with them. The course covers the stages of labour, a myriad of things relating to labour and childbirth and looking after yourself and baby once baby arrives.
We are really lucky to have such an engaging and supportive educator. She is knowledgable and experienced with everything to do with babies and currently works in Dunedin Hospital as a NICU nurse and lactation consultant.
The classes are run in a very relaxed style including working in pairs and groups. They are a really great opportunity to meet other people at the same stage as you. We set up a closed Facebook group for the class to easily stay in contact and hold a reunion once all the babies have arrived.
