Well known for his hypnotic and original One man and his Ghost Orchestra show, enigmatic multi-instrumentalist Delaney Davidson both defines and commands his own unique realm in the shadowy musical world some call ‘Country-Noir’ or ‘Gothic Americana’. A pillar of the Lyttelton folk scene he has also been instrumental in the developent of Aldous Harding and Nadia Reid, and continues to search for the challenge and adventure in both music and his own expression.
His work also extends into production notably Tami Neilson’s breakthrough album Dynamite, Troy Kingi’s Black Sea Golden Ladder, and his seminal work with Marlon Williams and their Sad But True Album series. It also extends into film work ( see his live shows with film Magic Lightbox, Ship Of Dreams) fine arts, printmaking and painting, and photography.
