The Drowning Girls

One husband, three wives, and a bathtub. Three notorious murders. One powerful play.

Bessie, Alice, and Margaret all have two things in common: they were all married to George Joseph Smith, and they are all dead. New Plymouth Repertory Theatre is thrilled to present The Drowning Girls, an award winning play based on fact, exploring the lives, loves, and deaths of three women at the heart of a notorious serial killer rampage in England in the early 1900s. It has been taking the world by storm racking up critical acclaim and praise for the haunting, lyrical, terrifying, and ultimately redemptive story of the brutal killing of three wives, dubbed The Brides In the Bath murders.
