Waipu Evening Ceilidh/Hogmanay

See in the New Year with us at our traditional Scottish Ceilidh & Hogmanay, held at the end of the Waipu Highland Games.

Settle in for a wonderful evening of Gaelic folk music, song, dancing, laughter and great company as we celebrate the end of another Games Day and welcome in the New Year together.

Enjoy the sounds from Twisty Willow, the fabulous Barb and Wes duo. They’ll keep the music flowing and guide you through traditional Gaelic Ceilidh dances – so whether you know the steps or have never danced a Ceilidh in your life, everyone can join in!

A Traditional Scottish Celebration

Enjoy a country supper, beginning with the traditional Haggis Ceremony, complete with Piper, Banner Bearer and the Ode Tae the Haggis.

Then it’s time for more music, dancing and celebration as we count down to midnight and see in the New Year together in true Scottish style!

You don’t need to be Scottish and you certainly don’t need to know how to dance – just bring your friends and family and come ready for a great night.

This is an event not to be missed!

Important Ticket Information

Get in quick before tickets sell out – there will be NO DOOR SALES. All tickets must be purchased in advance.

Children aged 17 years and under are FREE, but must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note that Ceilidh & Hogmanay tickets are sold separately from Waipu Highland Games daytime admission.
