    Topics: DC electricity, electrical circuits, circuit symbols, circuit diagrams. A hands-on workshop where students make a fun electric circuit project to take home. Suitable for ages 10-13. Younger children can attend with a parent. Feedback: * my 12 year old son really enjoyed the environment and the chance to learn in a new way.   • Wed AND Thur 20/21 Nov 2019, 1pm to 4pm
    This 6-hour lab course covers a large part of the chemistry practical skills from years 9/10. No prior skills or knowledge required. Content: safety in the lab, the Bunsen burner, separation techniques, chemical reactions, making and testing 3 common gases, pH scale, acids and bases, indicators. For ages 12-17. Important note: students under age 14 need to be accompanied by an adult in the lab. Tutor: Nathalie Thomas

    Content: isometric 3D drawings, constructions using a compass of triangles, perpendicular and parallel lines, specific angles, finding a circle’s centre, finding triangle centres and bisecting lines and angles. A fun, hands-on workshop where students learn geometric drawing techniques as taught in mathematics and technical drawing courses. Suitable for ages 11 and up. Tutor: Nathalie Thomas, MSc, dipT
