  • Between Monday 26 July 2021 and Friday 1 October 2021
Sometimes when plants or animals move into a new area they take over. Getting rid of these pests is costly and difficult, and trying to solve the problem often makes it worse. New research into feral cats underlines the importance of understanding the complex web of life before we take action. This biological sciences unit will also cover ecosystems, biomes and food chains/webs. Suitable for ages 11-15. Fee: $50 Tutor: Nathalie Thomas, MSc, dipT
Runs during term 3, fully online
  • Between Monday 26 July 2021 and Friday 1 October 2021
In this unit, students will embark on a virtual excursion of the world’s biomes to discover the amazing adaptations that allow plants and animals to survive in these different environments. Students will explore human impact on the world’s biomes through deforestation, invasive species and climate change and be empowered to take action to minimise the effects of these. Suitable for ages 8-12. Fee: $50 Tutor: Nathalie Thomas, MSc, dipT
Runs during term 3, fully online
  • Between Monday 26 July 2021 and Friday 1 October 2021
