    This physics course covers forces, gravity and related concepts. There is no prerequisite knowledge required.   • During this fun hands-on course students will be presented with an engineering challenge. They will need to supply their own popsicle sticks and glue to create a prototype which they can share during the second video conference. This course is suitable for ages 9-12.     An 80 minute session. The Science Roadshow is a mobile science discovery centre. Annually it travels the the length of New Zealand in a 15 metre truck and trailer, bringing a range of cool interactive science and technology exhibits into communities. . We are booked in for a group of 20 homeschooled students. Accompanying adults and well-behaved pre-schoolers are free. Student price is $9.58 including the booking/processing fee.

  • During this fun hands-on course students will make their own electricity project. Most materials are supplied, except for two AA batteries. The creation of this project will be explained through video conferences. Max of 10 students per class. This course is suitable for ages 9-12.   • This course covers ions, ionic compounds, solubility rules and precipitations reactions. A basic understanding of atoms and chemical reactions is recommended.
