An 80 minute session. The Science Roadshow is a mobile science discovery centre. Annually it travels the the length of New Zealand in a 15 metre truck and trailer, bringing a range of cool interactive science and technology exhibits into communities. . We are booked in for a group of 20 homeschooled students. Accompanying adults and well-behaved pre-schoolers at free. Student price is $8.55 including the booking/processing fee.

The Waihi mine educational officer offers a 2-hour programme where the students get to do lots of hands-on activities while learning about the Waihi mine where mainly gold and silver are produced. In addition to this educational session there is a one-hour visit to Spike’s bricks and models. Spike has a huge display of lego, more than 4 large rooms full, as well as an interactive RC lego cars activity. Cost: $8 pp for ages 6 and up including adults Free for children under 6
