Wednesday 21st Feb
Juniors, women’s, Under 23: Safety briefing 7:45am @ Kapiti Dive Club. Weigh in at 2:30pm

Thursday 22nd Feb
Photo Comp: Safety Briefing 12 noon outside Dive Wellington. Finish 4pm
Swim Fin: Briefing 6pm at Oriental Bay. Individual race first, then teams

Friday 23rd Feb
Over 60 Competition (Boat event): Safety briefing 7:30am @ Kapiti Dive Club. Weigh in at 2:30pm
Open safety briefing & AGM: 6pm @ Petone Rugby Football Club. AGM follows the briefing. All divers in the open must attend the briefing

Saturday 24th Feb
Open Championship, day 1: Location TBC. Safety briefing 6:30am. Weigh in from 1:30pm

Sunday 25th Feb
Open Championship, day 2: Location TBC. Safety briefing 6:30am. Weigh in from 1:30pm
Dinner & prizegiving: 6:30pm @ Masala (12 Allen Street)

 
About the event:
 
Entry fees pay for the event and go towards the activities of Spearfishing New Zealand Inc.
 
Fish auctions will be held under permit from Fisheries New Zealand. Proceeds from fish auctions be donated to charity.
 
All competitors should familiarise themselves with the NZ spearfishing competition rules:
In particular, take note of gear requirements (floats with flags etc): You will not be able to start if you do not have a qualifying float. 
We recommend that you undertake a medical examination prior to participation in the event.
 
Open Championships: You are responsible for finding a partner to dive with. We will assist if we can.
 
Individual events (women's and juniors): you are responsible for arranging a safety observer who will accompany you at all times during the vent and who must be familiar with the rules. We will assist if we can.
 
Boats: Competitors are not required to have boats. Zones for the open are intended to be shore starts. 
 
The Champs Director and SNZ committee are reviewing medical requirements for competitors, we will advise when the review has been completed.
 
You can enter more than one competitor per booking but they must be entered seperately within the booking.
