ALC Leading through 2024: What you can do for your people
As you and your team re-focus on work for 2024, what is going to engage and inspire you, build hope, excitement, and commitment for the year ahead?
It won’t be cracking the whip, telling people they need to be more efficient, or their jobs will be on the line. But it could be taking the time to appreciate your people for who they are and the strengths they brought to work last year, reconnecting people with your organisation’s purpose and how they meaningfully contribute to it, in ways that enable them to grow and develop this year. Dr Denise Quinlan will explain why the latter is more likely to give you the outcomes you want.
Denise will outline the ways that leaders can engage and empower performance in their people – also explaining why future-focused leaders need to put their own ‘psychological house’ in order to lead effectively. You’ll leave with practical tips and ideas that you can implement immediately to strengthen your teams and improve on the job performance.
Drawing on her research with NZ and Australian organisations, Denise will share some of the strategies leading organisations are adopting to successfully meet the challenges they face. These are organisations that are succeeding in attracting, motivating, and keeping the people they need to adapt and innovate for the future.
