Chocolate matters - online course + mini-lab - Auckland (CANCELLED)
This course is about the science of chemical and physical changes through the theme of chocolate!
The online course runs through an online learning platform, available 24/7. During the 2-hour practical mini-lab workshop students will carry out a variety of chemical reactions to support the theory they are learning.
Students will need to complete the online course before attending the mini-lab session. It will take roughly 10-12 hours (depending on ability and prior learning).
Suitable for students aged 11+ who have already learnt about states of matter, atoms, molecules, elements and compounds. Younger motivated students are able to join in however they will need an adult supervisor during the practical session.
Fee: $90 which includes the online course as well as the 2-hour mini-lab session
