The Christchurch City Chorus is an all female group of superb A ccapella, Sweet Adelines, Barbershop, & Choral singers. Globally they are rated No 5 in the world. The CCC is going for Gold in Kansas City, in the United States at the end of October. Their final NZ public performance prior to their appearance in America will be in the Grand Ballroom of Hanmer Springs Hotel Sunday 13 October.More than 30 members of the group will be giving local Hurunui audiences the chance to see & hear what those living in the USA will experience. They are firm favourites to win in Kansas City & nothing short of a gold medal will satisfy the 100 + members travelling to these World Championships.
Their appearance in the Grand Ballroom will be a Music & Song Variety Show. Songs from Broadway, Choral Music, Variety tunes by Sweet Addelines, Barbershop Quartet, & a wonderful sing-a-long of well known favourities that will truly enhance a Spring Sunday afternoon in the Alpine Village.
