About
Students will be sent an equipment pack on loan to carry out experiments using a wind turbine. They will investigate three different variables with regards to the turbine blades. This is a great unit to prepare for year 11/12 scientific investigation assessments (NCEA/Cambridge).
Note that a good source of "wind" is needed, like a high-speed fan.
Suitable for age 13+
Fee: $50 plus shipping fee for equipment loan
This unit is done fully online - students work at their own pace and in their own time. Their submissions are marked by the teacher and feedback is given. Students can ask for help through the platform.
