The Upu Collective recently performed their show, UPU, at the Theatre Royal Nelson.We're thrilled to be hosting one of UPU’s collaborators, writer/poet/actor Shadon Meredith for a very special workshop on poetry writing techniques and Moana-centric philosophies.
In this workshop, you'll be given the space to develop your poetic voice to connect with the storyteller within.
If you want to learn some new approaches to poetry-writing, whether you are a seasoned writer or new to poetry, this workshop invites you to discover and celebrate your voice.
Shadon Meredith is a New Zealand-born Sāmoan actor with a commanding presence on stage and screen. He created and performed the award-winning solo show, Waiting, taking a slew awards at the 2017 Nelson Fringe before touring nationally. His theatre work includes roles with Auckland Theatre Company, Red Leap Theatre and The UPU Collective. Shadon has worked on numerous screen projects including Rūrangi, Shortland Street and My Life is Murder.
