LOFTY LAB

About
LOFTY is a dance improvisation practice that explores your unique rhythm through a catalogue of images and tools developed in a social environment. Together, the group works through the core building blocks of the technique, before bringing everything into play within a cypher or jam setting. This workshop is open to all dancers and movers (17+).
About Aloali’i:
Aloali’i Tapu aka Luko is a dancer and director with Ta’alili, a Tāmaki-based arts collective founded with Tori Manley-Tapu. His practice is shaped by a decade of experience in contemporary dance and theatre, now infused with a deep passion for house and krump. These influences converge in his improvisation and freestyle work, where he continues to develop skills, tools, and new perspectives to share with others.
This workshop is part of a pilot series brought to you by Dance Ōtepoti with the support of Ara Toi Creative Partnerships. Thanks to this support we are delighted to be able to heavily subsidise this workshop
